Handwoven Liz Christy

Liz Christy Irish Hand Weaving

Stunning Irish artisan Irish hand weaving inspired by the great Irish painters.

Liz Christy Hand-woven Scarves & Stoles are collectable wearable art; beautifully crafted with wide appeal as a special gift.

Her work is designed and crafted by hand at Swallow Studios in Annayalla, just outside Castleblayney, set among the drumlin hills of County Monaghan. The colour and texture of her hand-weaving is a fusion of inspiration from the beautiful drumlin countryside, and artworks by Claude Monet, Paul Gauguin, Edward Hopper and Roderic O' Connor.

"As an artisan, I paint with thread, the loom being the canvass and I am continually experimenting with new ideas and yarns. Working with colour and texture is part of the pleasure of making my living from weaving".

From nature to paintings to poetry, these eye-catching scarves tell a story. Each piece an individual work of art, made with passion to be loved and enjoyed.
