wide range of quality woollen products inspired by the local landscape.  The surroundings have inspired in a passion for traditional craft which Donegal Woollen Mill shares with their customers thoroughout the world.


Since 1953 Donegal Woollen Mill has been producing high quality, 100% woollen
products. All goods are manufactured locally with knowledge and skill that has been handed down from generation to generation. The mill, now over 60 years old, is based in Downings, Co. Donegal.

The highly-skilled craftsmen and women at Donegal Woollen Mill have mastered the art of the hand-crafting woollen products and have resurrected the use of the old handloom. All Mill products are designed in-house in Downings, and are
inspired by dramatic and coastal surroundings. Donegal Woollen Mill produces woven products that are made by hand as well as by modern looms.

Their skilled crafts men and women perform a number of processes including warping and weaving.
