Michael Kennedy is one of Ireland's leading ceramic artists. His work is vested with the skill and artistry of the skilled Master Craftsman.

Michael Kennedy was born in Thurles, Co.Tipperary. He graduated in Fine Art in the mid 1970's and returned to college to study Ceramics. He opened his first studio in 1979 in Sligo where he worked for over 25 years before moving to a new studio in Gort Co.Galway where he works at present. His work was featured in the National Leaving Certificate Exam in the 1990's. Michael Kennedy's individual and sculpted pieces are collected as unique art objects around the world. The final forms are vested with the skill and artistry of the master Craftsman.
