The White Birds by W B Yeats
The White Birds dates from 1892 and appears in W B Yeats 1893 collection The Rose. It is one of his earliest love poems to Maud Gonne. For our "Danaan Shore" we've chosen an 1837 antiquarian map image of Church Island on Lough Gill County Sligo.
Unframed Mounted Giclee Print. Celo Bag Ideal for posting.
Framed under glass. White wood frame.
Working with Sligo based graphic designer Daragh Stuart we have set the poetry of W.B. Yeats against 1837 antiquarian maps of the County Sligo locations that inspired him to write some of his greatest poetry. The prints are wonderful gifts, a little piece of Sligo for visitors to take away and for family and friends overseas.
Giclee prints are a state-of-the-art rendering, merging professional grade digital print with archival pigment inks and fine-art watercolour papers. The paper used is an acid free unbuffered pulp which along with the pigmented inks will last over 75 years without fading, if not displayed in direct sunlight.
