This stunning "Summer Sun" symbol is found on several of the Kerb Stones at Newgrange Co.Meath. These Irish symbols are from the 4th millennium and are thought to form the bases of early calendrs.

Each piece of jewellery by Kieran Cunningham is original in design and individually handcrafted from raw materials such as sterling silver, yellow gold, brass, copper and alpaca silver, using only a select range of hand-tools to create each piece.

The hand-chiselled scroll effects and shining hammered finishes are an age-old tradition of Celtic jewellery design passed down through the centuries and now almost a thing of the past.
