A representation in sterling silver of the beauty of the reeds woven together each Spring to honour St. Brigid. The 1st of February marks the first day of spring, and is also known as Lá Fhéile Bhríde, Brigid's Feast Day. In pre-Christian Irish mythology, Brigid was the fire goddess, but also a goddess of protection, of wisdom and poetry. She was too, the goddess of blacksmiths and of metal forging. Her pre-Christian feast day is known as the Celtic celebration Imbolc. 

This gorgeous, special piece is worn year round as a symbol of love and protection. Carried on a beautiful sterling silver snake chain this pendant is handmade by Martina Hamilton and her family team of jewellers right here in The Cat and The Moon studio in Sligo, Ireland
