A representation in sterling silver of the beauty of the reeds woven together each Spring to honour St. Brigid. The 1st of February marks the first day of spring, and is also known as Lá Fhéile Bhríde, Brigid's Feast Day. In pre-Christian Irish mythology, her pre-Christian feast day is known as the Celtic celebration Imbolc.Brigid was the fire goddess, but also a goddess of protection, of wisdom and poetry. 

Carried on a beautiful sterling silver snake chain this pendant is handmade by Martina Hamilton and her family team of jewellers here in The Cat and The Moon studio in Sligo, and can be worn year round as a symbol of love and protection.reland
