Raku ceramic fish created by Julian Smith of Kinsale. Handcrafted using the 16th century Raku technique originating in Japan.
Each piece is rapidly fired and then removed from the kiln when glowing red hot creating the crackle effect shown. Stunning unique colours are created when the piece is placed in a container with combustible materials and the Raku design is complete.
This flat fish is 15 cm x 11 cm in size and can be hung from a wall.
Due to the Raku technique colours may vary to those shown.
